Upcoming Nova Explorer 2009 SR1

The Nova Explorer 2009 SR1 is on the way with a bunch of new functionnalities:

  • New object : Nova Sound3D emitter. You can now have your sound move with your objects
  • Interface to restore camera original position and FOV (Right click on your camera in the ribbon)
  • Depth Decal can now be set between –1000 and 1000
  • New plugin type : IControlPlugin. You can now provide plugins to change the controllers of Nova Explorer
  • Support of 3ds Max 2010 (32 and 64)
  • New action : RaiseEvent. You can now raise an event from the action builder and catch it in your scripts or plugins.
  • Update to the mesh optimizer (better support of weirds meshes and faster faces reduction)
  • New controllers : Simple mode. Use mouse or keyboard to control the camera
  • Publishing to Nova Server. In addition to executables and web pages, Nova Explorer can now publish to Nova Servers for online rendering support.

Release of Nova 2009 5.10.0.13

The next release of Nova 2009 is about to go live.

Here are the news features of this release:

  • Corrections of bugs:
    • Correction of a bug in the Collada importer for files issued from Autocad.
  •  Web Plugin:
    • An event has been added when selecting an object
    • The property « Paused » has been added to stop the rendering
  • Scripts & SDK
    • Vector3Interpolator has been renamed NovaVector3Interpolator
    • QuaternionInterpolator has been renamed NovaQuaternionInterpolator
    • The enums InterpolatorTypes and InterpolationLoop are now global
    • NovaObject.DisableRenderDepthSorting:Possibility of not sorting an object according to its distance to the camera at the time of the rendering
    • NovaEntity.ComputeWorldMatrixOnce is removed and replaced by NovaEntity.IsDynamic
  • Scripts
    • New property : MainForm.RenderEvenInBackground. NovaExplorer will render scene even in background
  • Nova Explorer:
    • New editing control of the scripts and shaders code
      • Better support of the undo/redo
      • Better search engine for find/replace
      • Better support of the intelliscript
      • The namespace imports are no longer automatic for a better visibility of the code

 

Sneak Preview of the new Script Editor for Nova 2009

The next release of Nova 2009 (5.10.0.13) will introduce a brand new code editor for NovaScript.

This new control will add a better support for Intelliscript, overloads, find and replace:
